Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
So on the Texans team did they lose a lot of players? Suprising how they lost 1-0 against Solar Smith but didnt do well at all with other teams? Solar Red made a significant change for the best. What I have noticed on the bottom half of the teams is they cannot play a consistent game?

Just curious, why was TFC's club move brilliant?

Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
I'm not sure why the TFC Royal club move was brilliant either, if it was. But whether or not the move had anything to do with it, they did establish themselves as a clear #2. Texans are not only 5th, but flirting with 6th. Hard to imagine, but they might end up 2nd tier. Guess maybe they traded out the wrong guys last summer. Maybe they are bored when they aren't playing against Solar. Why "no surprise" for Solar? Uhh, maybe because no one has dinged them in a year and a half?

"1.Solar 1 0 - no big suprise- can they do us all a favor and play up where they belong..."
Would CCSAI allow that?
At least it would give those players more of a challenge.
It does look like some teams are catching up, though.
We'll have to wait and see what spring brings.

5. Tigres- Suprised too.
6. Pumas-looks like they lost some players.
7. Revolution
8. Real

Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
Hmmm ...... interesting reading and comments. Maybe the D1 Texans team will switch with the D2 Texans. The stats from last year compared to this year are interesting for both teams. Especially since the teams all played each other last year. Solar still remains the top of the league. That probably won't change this spring.

Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
Interesting for the Texans... don't they transfer within the club so some kids that played in the top team last year got sent to the now D2 team and vice versa? If this was the case then could have something to do with coaching.

Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
I think your are right P1. Their team is supposed to improve with new players but the way they played and their record reflect otherwise. Few games I watched last year compare to this year, CC did shuffle his players around to different positions . I wonder what is the logic behind that because the Texans is all about winning and what CC did was against it. They have a very good team and some of the kids are very talented soccer players. Let's see if he can reverse their fortune or they are who they are and last year was just a fluke.P1er wrote:Interesting for the Texans... don't they transfer within the club so some kids that played in the top team last year got sent to the now D2 team and vice versa? Re: 98 D1 Mid Season Results
We have some friends on both Texans teams. I am pretty sure that CC's D1 team only traded or picked up 1 midfielder, 1 striker and a keeper from a team that was being relgated to D3. NC's D2 team received the striker and midfielder from CC and 1 additional player from some place else. I think the defense stayed the same for both teams except for CC changing his keeper. Not positive this is all accurate information as I am drawing from memory.
