Rule changes to consider

Promotion to division 1 was settled this year after 18 games on goal differential like the rules state. This is how the "girls" Lake Highlands Division settles it, a much more interesting way if you ask me.
Teams Tied in Division Champion Points in Division II:
(1)If there is a tie in Division Champion points that will affect which team gets promoted to Division I and/or relegated to Division III, only head to head competition will be used to break the tie. If two teams are tied in head to head competition, a playoff game will be played between the two teams to determine who has earned the right to be promoted into Division I or who has to be relegated
into Division III.

Just something to think about at the next competition meeting.

Disagree. Promotion/relegation should be based on an entire season not 2 games. You beat Team X once and tied them the other time? So what? You had 16 other games to prove your worth. Just my opinion but an interesting debate. Either way someone is unhappy.

Agree wuith chat but it would be nice to see the goal differentials limited to +3 per game. It would stop the running up of scores on last place teams from being the deciding factor for top finishes.

I vote for head to head. Particularly after the spring season where 30 mile an hour winds often affect the outcome of the matches.

Speaking of relegation? What's the story with the Waco Blast v Ayses match? I initially heard that WB forfeited? That would be just awful for a team to get relegated because another competitor just threw in the towel.

change the rule to the girls..... wouldn't it be great to see a "playoff" game between the bottom teams to see which one gets relegated to the lower division? that's gotta be the most competitive game of the entire season. after you've gotten creamed by every other team in the league your reward is a playoffs game to get sent down.

Give a raise to the guy who thought of that rule..... Serious question: Do any professional leagues have a relegation playoff round?
