02 Kyle Owen Classic

Some good teams playing this weekend in the Kyle Owen.  Only 6 teams signed up for U11, but 4 of them are Classic D1 this past year.

I would expect FCD Central Premier to win the tournament.  Bracket 1 seems to be a lot tougher with FCD Central Premier, LP Gerrard and Sporting United.  Bracket 2 has FCD Red, NTX Strikers (PPL 1) and Odessa Statik (who are they?). 

Looks like a quality team from Bracket 1 will miss the semifinals with LP Gerrard having the tougher schedule playing all 3 of the other Classic D1 teams.  I'm guessing these teams are still trying out a few guest players before making final roster decisions.  Should be a fun weekend!  Stay cool and hydrated!

I have heard that top seeded always get the benefit of getting their games spread out and having their first game on Friday night.  This is not fair to the lower seeded teams who are already at a big disadvantage. Both Odessa and North Texas Strikers have to play 3 games on Saturday,
2 almost back to back! What is the goal here? It would make more sense to give the lower seeded the Friday night game and give them more time to recover. Yes I always root for the underdog.

Think about it this way...Odessa is a long way away.  They might not be able to make a Friday night game.  Easier to drive to Dallas Friday night and play 3 on Sat. and go home.

In Odessa's case maybe better this way but they could've been a local team. The point is, this always happens, that the lower seeded teams get screwed.

I don't disagree.  Have been on the good end of that often.

Been there as well but never paid much attention to others schedules. 
Friday night games could be a pain because of traffic and if on a school day. Maybe that evens things out a little. Either way, good luck to the teams.
