North Texas at Nationals
Congrats to all the teams who competed or who are competing for a National Title this year. They include:
Solar U15/U16 DA
Solar Red 99
FC Dallas 98 PA
FC Dallas 99 PA
Players have to win their way into these opportunities and we are proud that you represent NTX on the largest stage. You are among the best of the best on a national level!

Re: North Texas at Nationals
lol. The post was about recognizing the players that make up the teams.
There are nearly 200,000 youth soccer players in 55 US Soccer State Associations. It's an honor for our boys to earn the right to say the are among the best in the country.
Cheers to them!

Re: North Texas at Nationals
I didn't make the trip, but I heard we lost in the last 30 seconds. The best we can do at this point is take bronze. Last game vs NTX nemesis Pateadores on Friday at 7:30 am.
Pateadores was the favorite going into the tourney, but they lost to Penn Fusion this morning.

I didn't make it either but I got the same report. We were up 2-1 then tied until the last 35 seconds.

Re: North Texas at Nationals
Many apologies. I left a very deserving team off the list, FC Dallas 98 Premier.
NTX won't bring home a National Championship this year, but the boys have all represented our region very well!
Solar U15/U16 DA
Solar Red 99
FC Dallas 98 PA

Re: North Texas at Nationals
I see that the DA teams played in something called "U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week Championship." This appears to be something different that what I know as "nationals". Can someone explain the difference (if any) ?

Not to be lost, but we also sent 3 very good referees to Nationals from North Texas.

Congrats to Javi Leija (Solar Red 99) and Austin Day (FC Dallas Premier 98) for making the 2013 National Championship Best 11 in their respective age groups.
RQ, I don't believe we should discredit the refs who also made the trip. As the dad of a referee, that is very cool. Congrats to them as well.

Best referees we have ever had by a mile were at Nationals. All were Grade 5's and Grade 6's and they were tremendous, consistent, controlled the games without being too involved. Well done to all who were invited to participate.

This is not true. There were 7's on the line.
NTX sent a 5 a 6 (new 6) and a 7 (he'll very soon be a 6 though).

Re: North Texas at Nationals
In our games they were all 5's and 6's - the one 7 we had was a 4th Referee - had him twice in the same capacity. None-the-less they were excellent.
