If you look at the "top 10" the solar teams will combine and make one team.
FCD will combine to make one team. Both liver pool teams will make one team.
Dts will be the dts.
In the end as long as the kids are having fun what else really matters.

I would generally agree with that statement, but there is still some back and forth and inconsistency in the top 5. For example FCD Goncalves beat FCD Premier Snell, but tied DT United, but I think what appears to be inconsistency sometimes goes back to the discussion about players playing on different teams and who knows what players you're actually playing against that week.

LP Gerrard beat Solar Blue a few weeks ago and lost to them in the PLD tourney, but those were two different lineups that we played so that ranking depends on who's playing for Dynamo and who's playing for Blue on any given day. In the PLD tourney, LP Gerrard beat Houstonians (PLD Finalist) in group play, but lost to them the next day in the quarterfinals. That was where the boys showed inconsistency, and being 9 years old, that's to be expected, but they also showed their potential by beating Houstonians.

TFC LARRY beat Liverpool Gerrard easily in a scrimmage in late August. We beat them 3-0.

Some of the teams are hard to figure. DT Scott is a team that did well in the spring in SDL, but I think week to week it changes with the DT Scott and DT Scott United team switching games. Either way that team(s) has tied both FCD Premier teams and Dynamo along with a close 1-0 loss to DTS.

I think the Solar teams also swap games at times - Crushers White/Black and Dynamo/Blue. Other than DTS, it would seem most of the clubs are still working the rosters and players move around.

Understand these are my random rankings and mean next to nothing. Having said that, "let me splain."

LP Gerrard has gone UNDEFEATED in SDL so far. This is six wins an no losses. At this age, that is a good result. They are in SDL 1, so the competition on any given may differ, but to beat all comers so far is worth noting.

Additionally, Solar Blue is a top ten team in itself and a win over them two out of the last three times is very good. TFC is also a very good team, but I have LP Gerrard above them for the reasons stated.

Not sure why so much angst against LP Gerrard. (See TexasSoccer04)

I am reading all the 01,02,03,04 posts. I work on the fields and keep track of the teams and which teams are doing well. The DFW soccer world is small. I am interested in seeing which teams produce the best talent. I have 3 boys. playing 01, 02, and 04. the top 10 is for fun and in the end won't matter who ranks where until next year. My 01 is loving Select.

From what I can see LP Gerrard has an easier schedule than most. Sporting United, the OK team, Odyssey, DT Scott/Lopez, etc. Nothing against those teams, but they aren't as good as others. So I can see why LP Gerrard would be undefeated. This week should be "easy" for them as well going against the OK Cole team. The following week should be interesting. Not saying the Gerrard team doesn't have skills. They have looked more polished than a lot of teams, and their parents were very nice. Just not seeing them as a top 10 team unless they have improved greatly since the last time I saw them. Having said that, I still assert that the top 7 or 8 teams are a toss-up. They're all good teams.

You got good points TexasSoccer04. Rankings are ones opinions but why is it that this team has not played the top teams. Is it coincidence or is it specially requested? Until Gerrard plays tougher opponents than they will get more respect.

You got good points TexasSoccer04. Rankings are ones opinions but why is it that this team has not played the top teams. Is it coincidence or is it specially requested? Until Gerrard plays tougher opponents than they will get more respect.

While the facts are clear that they have not played the top teams in SDL this season, it is not specially requested? That's a ridiculous implication. If the team wanted to play weaker competition they could simply request to be a Level 2 (Div 2) team in SDL. They played in the Gold flight of Plano Labor Day. Remember just a few months ago, several of you wanted to rank TX Suns as a top 10 team despite their weak competition in CAL, and they came over to SDL and are playing Level 2 avoiding the top teams in Level 1.

As mentioned in an earlier post LP Gerrard also seeks out strong competition in scrimmages having scrimmaged TFC Larry and Solar Dynamo this summer. I don't believe the team is intentionally avoiding playing other top teams.
