You apparently don't pay much attention to the sub-varsity boys in Coppell (no worries, I didn't either when I was a varsity parent). However be advised the JV team went undefeated (18-0-1 or something like that) with 1/3 of that squad being freshman. The Freshman team won almost every game without the top 8 freshman playing for them. Of course the state tournament is ALWAYS very hard to make even with an elite team (ask McKinney Boyd and many others) but I wouldn't bet against this bunch continuing to make deep runs every year for the next 3 at least...

Don't get me wrong, I am a Boyd parent and happy that they made it to the playoffs, however most of the games I saw (and I missed a few) Boyd didn't convince me. My son plays in the district with Boyd.  I would agree with your assessment of Boyd.  

If you are not convinced by Boyd going undefeated and winning arguably the toughest district in the state I don't know what will convince you.  When you play quality sides almost every game you are not always going to dominate.  The level of competition goes a long way towards who looks good. You can style point Chelsea if you want but the bottom line is that they find different ways to win and I wouldn't pick against them.

Where's the Professor after the 2nd round exit........Gilligan's Island?

I never said Boyd would win state. I disagreed with the rational given to why they would lose. You are only pointing out that the German was right in saying Boyd would not win state. Congrats, they won't. I predicted Plano West would not win state. I will predict Duncanville will not win state. That's much easier than predicting who will win.

Now, you pick who you think will win. I know the field is smaller, but pick your team and if they win I will congratulate you on superior soccer forecasting ability.

I also have GP beating Coppell but not sold on Dville. A GP/Arl. Martin rematch would be nice.

Axx, there is one particular sophomore on the JV team who scores on the varsity defense regularly during practice sessions. Just sayin'.
