The NBA Dream Team was the best of American basketball at a single point in time for a given event. Not hardly the greatest sports team ever. I would put the 1980 American hockey team above the NBA Dream Team. Still a single event, but they dislodged Russia's dominance and ended an era.

US Woman's Team Circa 1990's - might not be best team
ever, but talk about changing the sport - sort of like
the US Mens 1980 hockey team changed the sport in
US. US Woman's team changed soccer for women. Not to mention Worl Champ 1991, World Cup, Olympic Gold.

Mia Hamm. Those were some great times. I was dating the daughter of Mia's HS coach in the mid 90s. That girl can score!

No team has ever won b2b Euros and a world cup. No team has ever won the Euro Final by more than a 3 goal margin. The greatest sports team ever- Spain 2008-2012. True World Champions.
