Fall Season

Wow, the fall season registration has already begun for some leagues. Where is everyone playing this season? It sure has been quiet around here. I did see that SDL is promising some changes this season. Let's see if they can get those fields in better shape in Plano. Here is a press release they have put out:

With all the talk of economics and free markets on the other thread, here is an example of it at work.

I've been one of the biggest critics of SDL over the past 2 years, but now I applaud them for making necessary changes to compete effectively in the marketplace. Lower team fees, easier to work with team roster, 3 man ref crews, improving field conditions, new playing formats (adding 9v9 for U10)... I think they were a bit slow to react, but after the mass exodus in the spring finally realized changes were needed to remain competitive.

Kudos SDL.

Texans South 05 boys will be playing up to u9 in Arlington this season.

I believe that the Texans North will be playing SDL in both 04 and 05 leagues this season. When do the leagues start anyways? Man, this summer is flying by.
