96 GotSoccer Points?

Some of you may recall discussion on the boards about how DTR only received 202 points for winning CL last year, while the second place team (TFC)received 1,091. It looks likes GotSoccer is also off base as it relates to the Premier League West. Tulsa United won the league this year and received 435 while FCDP finished second and received 1,358.

Can anyone make sense of why you get more points for NOT winning?

I cannot provide insight into why these errors(?)occur, but can offer this...

When I managed a team, on more than one occasion, I submitted a help request/error ticket or something like that with Gotsport, and it was corrected. These were issues not always with my team, but sometime with other team's data.

I would encourage the manager, or whoever has login to the team's gotsport account to log an issue; see if it can be corrected.

Unfortunately it is NOT an error. This is why gotsoccer is truly a worthless system IMHO.

Got soccer does this ridiculous math computation of taking the teams current points and multiplying them by 20%. They deduct that 20% against the
events points given and that is what you get. So in the case of Tulsa the flight value was weighted at 2000 points. Tulsa had 7826 points and 20% of the 7826 was 1565, which gives them a total point value of 435. Got soccer also keeps the points from that event in the weighting from the year before and THEN strips the points out after the calculations. You would think they would remove the prior years event and then do the recalculations.
FCD P will hit a home run on Gotsoccer points from Disney this year because they played the "#2 ranked" team in the nation who had 23676 points so the flight value will be very high. That team since March has participated in 5 events and only placed in one. Something changed for them after the 2012 season ended and they have struggled to produce.
