42 and 41 seeds do have the toughest draw, based on their opponents average seed. 41 to 50 is the toughest stretch.

The five easiest schedules go to #15 Schmugge (average opponent seed is 49), #16 Paisley (48.67), #17 Videla (48.33), #18 Martinez (48), and #8 Stark (48). Seeds 14 to 26 is the sweet spot.

Of the top 10 seeds, #8 Stark 2 and #9 Pino have the easiest schedules.

#27 NTX Celtic face an average opponent seed of 27, while #26 Solar Tezkol faces 45.33 and #28 Solar Sawyer faces 40. #30 Warryors face an average of 24.67, while #29 Wizards is at 38.33 and 31 FCD Redzic is at 30.67.

Joga thanks for posting and clearly it helps illustrate which teams have an easy flight as I was alluding to earlier. Some of the teams are seeded incorrectly, for example Fever Black with a NTX ranking of 19.

I am surprised that Solar Oglesby is ranked ahead of both Solar Castro and Dallas Texans Stark. Didn't Texans Stark win Premier Supercopa? The middle is impossible to rank with most teams having no history. The brackets with four teams will be tough as two of those teams won't make it. It is going to be a interesting weekend.

Solar Oglesby beat Castro 5-2 in a final about a month ago, also Solar Castro didn't fair nearly as well in the King Tut. DT Stark did win the SuperCopa and do deserve the #1 or #2 spot, while Oglesby had the most points in Gold at King Tut. It's tough to compare the two tourneys but in the eyes of Classic the King Tut was the only true "seeding" tournament. Gomez was in neither but are also deserving. It's like splitting hairs, I'm sure it'll work itself out like it did last year Shasta.

Excellent work as always Joga! This a very useful metric, especially in the 3 team brackets with unbalanced crossover games. As you and others have highlighted, the 3rd seeded team in each of those brackets is at a distinct scheduling disadvantage.

In the 4 team brackets with a balanced schedule, IMO the differentials to the other teams in the bracket are close. While the #17 Sporting Videla (48.33) draw is easier relative to the full field, it isn’t that much different than the #24 Solar Megli (46.00) draw in the same bracket. Similarly, the #18 Solar Martinez (48.00) draw isn’t dramatically different than #23 FCD Kang (46.33). As you would expect, that impact is even more magnified when you compare #20 FC USA (47.33) and #21 FCD Ross (47.00).

Rather than being the sweet spot, I would suggest that seeds 15-26 (i.e. the 4 team brackets) will be among the most competitive (with the exception of #15 FCD Schmugge (49.00) which is more a function of over-seeding #26 Solar Tezkol (45.33) than it is the structure of the pairings).

I would not be surprised to see multiple top seeds in the 4 team brackets fall short of D1 (such as Ayses Gold, FC USA). I also wouldn’t be surprised to see multiple 3rd seeds from those same brackets (Scrappers, FCD Topletz) qualifying for CL.

Where did you get these numbers? Not arguing them but just curious how you came up with it. I would like to see something like this for my older son.

Hey 04 -
The numbers are calculated based on the seedings that 05SoccerDad provided.

For example, the #1 seed is FCD Academy Gomez. They play the #40, #41, and #42 seeds... for an average opponent of 41.

Other examples: #15 FCD Schmugge plays #66, #55, and #26, for an average opponent of 48. #42 Independiente plays #39, #2, and #1 for an average opponent of 14. Those are the 'easiest' and 'toughest' draws.

Most of the top seeds are taking care of business. It looks like Solar Megli will take their bracket and make D1 instead of Sporting United. Ayses Gold will not be going to D1. It will come down to either Solar Quiroz or FC Dallas Central Blue in that bracket.

I'm curious about a few things today....

1) Will the cross-bracket game screw any teams out of Division 2. For example, Club America.

2) Three tasty games today.... Liverpool-Paisley vs Fever; and Dallas Texans Red vs FCD ETX; and FCUSA vs FC Dallas East Ross. I'm sure there are other important games so no disrespect to the other 60 teams.

They didn't reseed our team last year but every team in front of us made D1.

Anyone notice the bench for FCD Ross? He has 17-18 kids on the roster playing 9v9. Hopefully he has a good plan for subs during the season for those poor kids.

I'm always dumbfounded when a club promotes development and then allows a coach to have a roster this big.

It can't be all about the money, can it?

Does it make any sense how Colleyville Evo (1-2) loses to Solar (1-1-1) and has a worse record, yet they make it in instead of Solar? They are in the same bracket and have the same points. Shouldn't head to head make the determination over point differential.

There were quite a few teams out there with pretty big benches.

I can tell you that with FCD Ross, it isn't about the money. Full stop.

First off, they are a coaching pair (Ross and Marshall) so you are getting two coaches for the price of one. If it were about the money, they could both have their own teams and they could both be running more teams.

I happen to know them and can tell you they are incredibly generous with their time and with money. They habitually undercharge relative to the competition. They always help families that are struggling financially. They're great coaches and I'm sure they will continue to do well developing those players.

Why would a team possibly carry 18? Well, my son's team has 18 players. In his situation, the team is focused on developing 05 and 06 players for DA 1 year from now. CL is a big part of that process, but there are other parts, too. We have 18 boys and they're probably at greater risk of getting burned out than quitting because they're not playing enough.

So, no, it isn't always about the money.

It looks like Bracket M went to the 2nd tie-break, goals for. FCD Navy 05 Lopez and Solar 05 Sawyer both finished on 18 points and plus 4 goal difference. FCD goes D1 on 6 goals scored, Sawyer goes D2 on 5 goals scored.

So close!!!

Bracket M worked. Lopez beat Sawyer head to head so they should advance to D1.

A 58 seed making D1 is pretty awesome! Congrats to Scrappers!

And having the 64 and 66 seeds make D2 is pretty amazing, too! Well done Dallas Rebels and Colleyville Evolution White!

And Indeppendiente, with the hardest draw in the tourney (drew #1 and #2!!!) pulls it out and makes it to D2!

Those teams must have had a pretty exciting weekend!!!
