to add insult to injury, one of Panama's goal wasnt even a goal....ball never crossed the line....if this was called correctly, the US would have been in the world cup....

Is it okay to put this here? It's where all the eyes are and among people I think can best explain and answer the questions.

Can someone please breakdown the DA and NPL system? How do they differ? When do they start, U12 or U13? How many DA or NPL teams are there? Who has DA teams, FC Dallas, Dallas Texans, Solar, how many are there, are they the only ones with DA teams? How do they put together the DA teams and how do kids in those organizations make a DA team? Are there tryouts? Can you play on a Classic team and an NPL or DA team? I'm trying to understand to be in the know and in order to set goals and to figure out what needs to happen between now and then. Thanks in advance!

I think the clubs pull the best players out of each of their teams and make a best of the best team.
But I’m new to all this myself. My son plays, I’m just along for the ride.

Rebels are good, very good at playing kick ball. Both goals against DT Dallas came from free kicks. DT Dallas failed to score on numerous clear opportunities that would have sealed the game for them. Rebels took control of the game after injuring DT's only/primary offensive player.

LP Owen are better than DT Dallas. Simply because: both teams try to move the ball, but LP does not depend on one player offensively.

These are some big words... I hope the LP team can live up to them. They have the potential, not sure about it though personally.

Seems to be more of an anti Texans stance than pro LP...but regardless I whole heartedly disagree with the entire argument. LP has scored 1 more goal than TXN through 6 games vs a weaker schedule...hardly a convincing stat. Bottom line is LP TRIES to move the ball...TXN actual SUCCEEDS.

Pretty accurate based on first six weeks of the season. A couple teams have had easier draws, will be interesting to see how it all works out in the end.

Elite United and Solar Volkan: These groups aren't even in the Top 20 anymore to be honest. Elite has declined drastically since 07/01, and their club merger with Allegiance hasn't helped. Volkan has been disappointing in every way, save the Labor Day weekend tournament (in which its rumored they used guest players). These groups are not even Top 15 if you're being kind.

Fever and FCD ETX: Both of these groups are possibly in the top 25 - 30 teams on my list, it's very difficult to say with what we've seen since 07/01... My prediction is that one of these groups (likely Fever) improves between now and in the spring. Fever has played a brutal schedule so far with D1 classic, so this might tilt upward for them in the spring. FCD ETX on the other hand has played a much weaker schedule, and has under performed. They are definitely not in the TOP 20 teams.

I agree with your list but not necessarily as far as you'd drop them. I will say that my biggest issue with YSR is that for a "Power Ranking" site, it puts too little weight on recent performance. All of the teams mentioned are overrated based on historical results >6 months ago. There are other issues as well, especially too much weight given to beating up on lesser competition but I'm not trying to give a comprehensive list here. For all of its flaws its still miles better than GotSoccer Rankings. Solar5555 you're not invited to this discussion.
