Yes he is playing this year plus got another "transfer" from California that plays on the DTX academy.
Sure about that?

Last second call up. He was practicing at SLC and was on the roster.

Jesuit isn't in District 10-5A. Still think the favorites in that district are North Garland, Naaman, McKinney Boyd and Rowlett.
You are correct, Curtaldo. I said district instead of region. Restated: The problem for Sachse is Jesuit since they are in the same region. I agree with Yak, it's a coaches poll starting point. Anything can happen. My top picks for NTX are Jesuit, Southlake, Marcus, Plano and Coppell.
Based on yesterday's result, Jesuit has a long way to go to be competitive at a high level this year. FM Marcus beat Jesuit 3-0 and it could have been 5 or 6 to nothing. I guess Jesuit is having a bad "recruiting" year. LOL!

Tale of two halves. Marcus dominated the first half. Jesuit dominated the second half. Typical preseason tournament. Both teams with players missing. #1 forward for Marcus was a no show. Jesuit had 5 starters, 3 of them Academy players, out for various reasons. Warm up tournaments are not a real good indicator. Lake Highlands had 3 of their 5 Academy players out for the Ice Bowl tournamnet. So I'm skeptical to rate them down even though they didn't win the Ice Bowl. Probably the best team I saw at the Meister tournament was Nolan. Marcus sqeaked by them on a questionable handball in the box. Nolan looked very strong. Jesuit is not the powerhouse from last year. But then, Marcus looks much weeker than last year too. It's a long season.

Not my quote, Grinder. Don't live in FM, but they used to play in our district. Hey, K-man, your Naaman team had some nice wins last weekend. Nice work by the boys. The HS season is upon us. Yes, SR2, I'll step out on that limb. You may want to step back, you might get slapped if it twitches. Cheers!

Marcus knocked out Jesuit over the weekend and sent the defending champions tumbling in the national polls from No. 1 to No. 30. I know it's pre-season and all, but...

Dallas Jesuit back in winning form last night as they spread around the attack. 5 players scored in the opening round of the Duncanville Kick-off Classic, beating EP Bel Air 5-0.
Meanwhile, over at the Georgetown Governor's Cup, Coppell fell 2-1 to 2010 state runner up and Catholic cousin Houston Strake Jesuit. McKinney Boyd lost 1-0 to host Georgetown.

Duncanville won their opener, 4-0 vs Roosevelt. Also spread the scoring around-4 players with one goal each. They vs Temple today. Jesuit takes on Frisco Wakeland.
McKinney Boyd should be playing The Woodlands right now. 4 pm start time. Coppell played San Antonio Reagan at 2 pm.

Re: High School Soccer Updates
Yeah on the Duncaville side you have Rossevelt and Temple. On the other side you have El Paso Bel Air (Regional Finalist), Jesuit (5a State Champ) and Frisco Wakeland (4a State Champ). The real final was tonight between Wakeland and Jesuit. Pretty even match. Regulation ended in a 1 to 1 tie. Both scores on PK's. Wakeland won in the shoot out.omega striker wrote:roosevelt? a school known for "american footbal" and basketball !!!! I guess that was Duncanvilles "gemme"

McKinney Boyd off day today and yesterday.
Today lost 3 to 0 to Woodlands. Woodlands has a very solid team.

Duncanville put on a good tournament! Love playing at Old Panther Field, grass is such a relief:) We (Wakeland)beat Duncanville 4-0 in the final. The Jesuit game was a good one though!

Re: High School Soccer Updates
He just was a little inconsistent. Gave a red on what might have been a phantom groin punch (couldn't tell on video) then gave a yellow when keeper takes a solid elbow to the head. Just looking for consistency really from refs, and this guy does academy games so not just a hs ref with no clue.

Wow, coach!
The article about Ward and the penalty shoot-out was picked up by Yahoo. Just saw it on the scroll for their major articles.
That's some great publicity

Re: High School Soccer Updates
Help me to understand this. You purposely allowed a non eligible player to take a pk to help win a tournament game. The player had NOT obtained a medical release from a physician allowing him to participate in a game but you decided it was ok for him to take a pk. Is this correct?

Are you saying that is illegal, unethical or poor judgement with a lucky outcome?

Re: High School Soccer Updates
No, he had been training, warming up every game and prepared for the dribble ups. Dr. Was aware he could be used for that as was mom who teaches one our campus. No we didn't play him to keep him out of full contact. And he was eligible to play due to being on the game roster and all players can take dribble ups per uil.

Re: High School Soccer Updates
So he did have a medical release in writing from the Dr to play in that tournament-correct? You had me confused as a post a little earlier inferred he was just released.
