Glad to hear the boys have gotten over their differences. There were some hard feelings at the time. Mine, on the other hand, have not faded so quickly...

First, all of my kids make their own soccer decisions, not dad. I don’t control my sons’ fate, they do. I agree with Go and others, let the boys go and see what happens. I learned this lesson very early from my 16 year old son. When he was 12, I wanted him to leave and try something else as times were tough and this was my first kid in select. He flat out told me no, and is now in his 6th year with club, 5 of those with HN. He would kill for HN and now DH.

As for Marcio, he and I had a disagreement years ago, very well documented on here so enough said. Even when he left the Texans, I stood by my feelings that Marcio was/is one of the best coaches in Dallas. Coaching ability doesn't change with a disagreement. Marcio has been back with the Texans for almost 2 years. Marcio has spent a good bit of time coaching my 99 son along with HN. I was actually under the impression that Marcio would do more with 99 and 98 this year but at the last minute 00 and 01 pre-acad appeared and he took those on as well. Marcio has been fantastic with my 99 son.

Marcio coached my 02 son for 4 months while filling in for 02 the full time coach. He was fantastic with him as well.

So to say I’m campaigning against Marcio, your very incorrect and just throwing out lies to see if people will run with it and damage me in some way.

Yes Hassan and I are friends just as he is with other coaches in the club. As far as anyone telling HN what he’s going to do, you obviously are not very close to the Texans. HN makes all his own decisions and everyone knows that. NO parent, coach or player will influence HN on a decision. The fact soccerbs doesn’t understand or know this just shows more ignorance on the poster’s behalf.

As far as money goes, if you think I have enough money to influence a program the size of the Texans, then you don’t know me. I do spend time and energy with the club, but I assure you a money man I am not.

As I was typing this, the last post came up. As far as my kids go, just ask coaches in or out of the Texans about their abilities or lack there of. I don't need confirmation on their abilities from a parent with no clue saying their opportunities are bought. Again, if you know the Texans this is so far from the truth. Go, not sure which boy is yours, but my kids love playing with many inside or outside the club, so I assume the feeling is mutual.

I would welcome a face to face conversation with anyone about a situation that involves me or my kids. Please don’t hide behind an alias and act intelligent when you obviously have no clue.

PP, Let me start by saying my son has moved on to another sport so i have no dog in this fight. From time to time I check in to see what is going on with the soccer scene because we still have friends playing and we still enjoy the game. We have seen you from afar for 5 years or so now and were always impressed with the teams and talent that you produced. With that said, I have to commend you on coming here with your real name and adressing the issue. Over the years we say a few thing with parents and coaches that seemed a bit shady. Even things on this website Shocked

As you can see I don't comment much but this time i would like to chime in and say that I think what you just did was Bad A** It makes me regret that at some point in my sons time in the game, he never spent any of it with you. Good Luck to you and your boys!

I also find it interesting how others who have never had personal contact with PP are quick to chime in. I have known PP for several years. My child has had the privilege of training with him and has had nothing short of an exceptional experience, both from soccer and social maturation. He is fair. He is hard when he needs to be. And, most importantly, he cares. I have also had the opportunity to witness what PP does off the field. He is one of the FEW individuals who walks the talk! Standing with a parent day in and day out while their child lay in a coma at Parkland, facilitating medical care for children he has coached in the past that do not have easy access to the medical system, providing support to families who have been dealt unfortunate blows while no one else jumped to assist. I am sorry, PP is a damn good person! I have seen him work tirelessly to support his boys and do whatever it takes to enrich their soccer experience or maturation. One could be critical. However, he has NEVER adversely affected another child so that his advances. He has never tried to hurt another child so that his child benefits. He is out in the open and shys away from little, if anything. I commend him for doing whatever it takes to advance his family. Again, he does it without hurting yours. Say what you want or believe what you will about Preston, but he is a better man than the OP!

okay I still don't get it. Lets say him and ML don't get along and have issues. So what! Let's say he doesn't want him coaching his boy on the upcoming AL team and is even trying to exert some influence to that end. By many account he is a great coach but PP wouldn't be the only one who would be against ML coaching. And let's say he is donating a millin dollars to the texans. Why does anyone care? It's his money and I am sure HN would be more than willin to take anyones money. So far I am not seeing anything different than alot of team managers and parents all over NTX do but he seems to be villanized alot more for it. But then again I always say you aren't doing anything until somebody hates you for it.

Besides Texans should fire Marcio now. So I can start my plan to bring him in as Director of skills for LP

Actually he would have to show damage for it to be slander. I am thinking maybe some kids didn't get on the dynamo team or got beat by them. My dd's team kicks alot of but and you should see some of the nasty things people say about her coach affraid

Oh finish I love the compliment but I can't even begin to pretend I'm at the same level of puppet master as some the great ones that run these clubs and coach some our BBs. I'm just a lowly poster that makes some predictions and posts some rankings to try and get people to talk. Otherwise we would resemble the 03 forum Sleep

That's great 4TLOTG. You've picked the perfect age group to post your rankings. I was at an '04 meeting with a club about a year ago, and the parents were all worried that their gold star player wasn't going to get recruited to the top team and be coached by the owner of the club himself. The kids were 8.

I laughed at the insanity of it all, remindeed the parents it was about 18, not 8, then bowed out. The only group more insane than the '04's at this age...the 99's. Which, amazingly, we are currently posting in. There are dominators...

I think it is funny that you hide behind a poster to try to slander someone. If you are going to try to call someone out like you have done, at least stand behind it. It's rumor until the source can be verified.
