I noticed that too. They gave the APL and PPL the top seed in Bracket C and D. Perhaps this is a pre-set agreement that the leagues got position 3 and 4 from a strength perspective.

Since this is a challenge tournament into Classic League then I think every bracket should have a Classic team in it, if there are enough teams to do so, which is the case for the '00s.

It seems Group F has a sour deal... two classic league teams plus Mansfield Samba who play 1 age group up in APL D1.

I'd say F, E, & A look like the toughest divisions - but who knows. Even if you got a bum draw the first weekend, you get a 2nd chance the 2nd weekend if you can take 2nd place.

Do you all think the brackets have been seeded in a relatively fair manner?

Definitely looks like Group F is the hardest group. I have to think that Samba playing up will put them on level with DT Black and Andro Gold. I wouldn't be surprised if the winner has 1 loss in that group.

How does everyone think the rest of the brackets will come out.

Just to get the talk going (and the board knows I normally don't do this) I will pick my first and seconds.

1st
ETU
FCD White
FC Premier (Giving them the nod but it really is a toss-up)
TFC Blue (Giving edge but is a toss-up)
LP Liddell
DT Black

2nd
DT North
Ayses Gold
Irving United
Manchester
Kernow
Andro

I'll say 1st place will be:
ETx U
FCD White
Irving U
ManU Red Devils
Liverpool Liddell
DT Black

2nd place is too tough to call - I really can't predict.

You are talking about Bracket C. I think they made a good call on this one. Irving United is a tough team. I think they are above the bottom 3 Classic teams - so I think they got it right. FC Premier is no pushover either. This isn't an easy bracket.

R1 - It's never fun to go with the top seeds. Where is the 5/12 bracket for the challenge tournament? On a serious note good luck to all the teams. I do think there are more than 8 teams that can compete for the slots available.

If you go to the results grid it looks like brackets E and F are combined. Does that mean that the first 2 teams advance and could come from the same bracket?

No, that is just because both these brackets are 3 team brackets, where their 3rd game is cross-bracket with each other (which I always hate due to everyone getting a different cross-bracket opponent) - but its the way tournaments typically are done. Its still 6 bracket winners for first week - top finisher from each bracket.

According to their web site they are now associated with Dallas Texans. Therefore, I am assuming they may be taking a bye.

I am unable to find anything on Waco's website about them being associated with the Texans. Would you please post a link to what you found?
