Not sure what happened, but FCD Central didn't win a game in State Cup losing to FCD Premier and FCD Red and tying Dallas Texans. Good games today with Solar Chelsea vs. Solar Red, Dallas Texans vs. FCD Premier and Liverpool rush vs. Texans South. Winners of each game advance to next weekend and losers likely stay home. I got 3 out 4 in the semifinals right with DTS, Solar Red, Solar Chelsea.

FCD Goncalves had some issues this weekend and did not show their best. The team is still very strong and third place in Classic league is a great season.

All 4 teams are excellent teams.
Both Solar teams were only scored on against each other in this tournament.

Therefore, you'll have to buy your own tickets.

Agreed, that kid is a great keeper and made more than a few great saves over the weekend in the three games.

cowpuke, you need to find a new adjective for DTS, because the Suuuuuuuuuuper Team is more deserving of the "Dirty" tag. DTS just plays a good physical game, while Suuuuuuuuuuuper Dirty DT has some of the dirtiest players in the league. Nipper's mid-fielder who waits until the ball is passed and the referee is looking the other way before he trips the passer has earned the title of 'dirtiest player in the league'. And Nipper's defender that has a habit of slide tackling cleats up is a close second for the title. Nipper also has two other players on the team striving to use injury to remove key players. I can't believe Nipper allows this type of play game after game and tournament after tournament. If your predictions are correct for the final matchup, I hope nobody on your team gets too injured.

Question for SDDT parents: does Nipper allow this during practice? For the sake of the boys, I hope not!

When I refer to DTS as DT "Dirty South", it's definitely a term of affection.
So, if anyone misinterprets the meaning, I do apologize.
"Super Team" is a pretty good team. I know a few kids off-hand and they are good kids.

I'm only on here for a good laugh.
I am not a soccer guru and I've never played soccer, except for that 1 time in the Army during P.T. (totally f'd up my squad leader's shoulder).

I stay away from calling out or criticizing any kid on any team.
I'm only concerned with how my BB handles himself on the pitch.

The coolest thing I saw in this tournament so far, was after the Solar Red/Solar Chelsea game, those little boys were on an empty field playing soccer and having a blast.
No parents yelling instructions. No coaches. Just CHILDREN having fun.
So maybe I need to drop the DT "Dirty" term.

DTS will win this tournament.
And sadly this upcoming season, my cowboys will not make the playoffs, again.

The person called out in the post by the name of Nipper, is not an 11 year old, he is the coach. D'oh!

It is unacceptable what Nipper allows to happen on the field. Luckily my boy got through this weekend's game unscathed, but other parents' boys were not so lucky. I hope your boy never has to bear the brunt of Nipper's hooligans. And if he does, I hope he and his teammates gets through the game without cleat marks running down their legs, and without a broken bone from being tripped from behind.

No, but in your ranting post you specifically described boys such that you did call out 10 or 11 year olds. While there are coaches that have a reputation for condoning malicious or borderline malicious play, Nipper Thormber is not one of them. You seem to be the first and only person that has made such a claim. Moreover, he has not even been present half the year to coach that kind of behavior. Perhaps 5-0 could supply some cheese with your whine...

It was a very entaining final game and the kids played hard under the pressure. The speed of play was a notch higher than most games and it is always good for the kids to be pushed to be better: whether on the offensive or defensive end.
