It was an intense championship match. Both teams threw everything they had into it.

It was a very entaining final game and the kids played hard under the pressure. The speed of play was a notch higher than most games and it is always good for the kids to be pushed to be better: whether on the offensive or defensive end.

I had to go watch this final. It was a great game! Very, very fast paced. Solar red has some kids that can flat out fly. The first half DTS controlled possession. At one time I counted 9-10 consecutive passes being strung together. They are clearly the best 02 team at keeping the ball. But Solar was very dangerous on the counter, hitting the post on one break thru. DTS had way more opportunities on goal the first half. They have several kids(not just one) that can hit the shot from 25 yds + I mean these kids are ripping the ball! Solars goalie came up huge! Made two saves that no other goalie in the league could of made. Not saying anything bad about the other goalies at all! Just that he is the best goalie in the league, fantastic goalie! Second half DTS started out great again. If anyone saw the goal that DTS scored? Wow! What can you say! One of their left footed players picked the ball up on the right side, cut to the middle across the field and unleashed a line drive shot from about 25 yds out. The goalie didn't even move cause it was so fast. And I say this because it takes a great goal to beat a keeper of that quality. The rest of the game Solar was attacking, and it seemed like DTS went more into defense mode, which is a little surprising, cause they usually keep coming at you, but there defense held strong. So that was my interpretation of PG-Boy! Lol! I know I'm not as good as him! I wish he would of gone to the game, love reading his post on the 01 post. DTS and Solar parents should be very proud of their boys. It seems like they meet each other a lot in the finals of tourneys. My BB team just needs to keep working harder and we will get there someday. It's a long journey......

DTS goal keeper is phenominal as well and really "saved" the game yesterday by making some excellent reaction saves right in front of the goal on deflections and point blank shots.

Oh, he did great as well, was not trying to say anything negative at all about any other goalie.

Both keepers were amazing. This was a 1-0 result with two teams playing at a frantic pace. Tenacious D! great saves. The State championship was decided on that one amazing shot by DTS. It was absolutely a prize fight by 2 heavyweights.

Yes. Both goalies played excellent. Both made very good saves.
Both defenses were strong.
DTS and Solar's forwards had excellent passing and ball control.
DTS's scoring shot was a laser that shocked dang near everyone. Beautifully executed.
This game was bad-@$$ from the 1st to Final whistle.

I missed the Solar Chelsea/DTS game.
But I was told that it was one heck of a match.
I did get to see the Solar Red/DTS Championship game.
Next Fall's CL D1 games are going to be excellent.
I hope there's not a lot of movement on these teams.

Where is gators at? Daviito? Sprint? Pass to space? All theses guys are quick to congratulate when someone wins other then DTS, but when DTS does it again.......it's crickets on here! Lol. I've just always admired the way these boys play the game, ever sense they creamed my sons team, and not in a bad way, there was never any bad sportsmanship, just kids playing the game at a very high level. I wanna say congrats DTS on an incredible year!! Disney Champs, league Grand Champs, and State Cup Champs! I think that's called "The Treble"!

No comments from me as I have not seen DTS play for a while but I have always appreciated the way they play and the talent they have. Some people want to knock them off the pedestal and predict their demise but not me. I congratulate DTS on continuing to set the bar high for the rest of the 02s.

Seeing as how I was at the game and talked to several DTS parents and the DTS coach after the game I am not sure it matters much what I post on this forum. Having said that, you could take a look several posts up and see that I said it was a great game and benefited both teams. The game was played at a high level and both teams should be proud for their performance.

I didn't cogratulate LP Gerrard on the tournament they won so I guess I am remiss on that front as well. Congratulations to them and to LP Owen for making the finals.
