04 Boys Spring 2012

No changes to rankings despite a couple games this past weekend (win or loss result next to team for those that posted or PM). Latest Power Rankings - a couple things to remember, this is my opinion only, second wins and losses are only a piece of the equation. Who the wins and losses against are much more important (thank you SDXDad for that guidance). I think we all can agree that there are clearly different tiers of teams and when teams are playing against eachother on a regular basis from the same tier you are going to get REAL soccer scores (3 to 1, 2 to 2, etc vs 7 to 0) as well as more losses vs when a team is predominately playing against teams from lower tiers). Ok ready for people to poke holes and throw up all over it, whine that their team isnt ranked in the right place and some other team is ranked higher than they are. blah blah blah


Tier I
1. Solar Red (playing in both 04 and 03 leagues)
2. Odyssey - win
3. DT Pomykal (Formerly DSC - playing in 03 and 04 leagues) - losses to Solar Partain and Solar Red in back to back weeks drops them down a bit

Tier II
4. Liverpool Reina - loss
5. DT Rosales (playing only in an 03 league)
6. Andromeda Hiller - win

Tier III
7. Solar Chelsea Farley (playing in both 04 and 03 leagues) - win
8. Bandits - loss
9. Wizards (playing only in an 03 league)

Tier IV
10. Solar Red Tarrant - easy win against Texans south puts them into top 10 - win
11. Solar Partain - moving up with win against DT Pomykal

13. FCD Snell

14. Leite United - getting shut out vs solar red 8 or 9 to 0
15. FCD South - Tate
16. Mansfield Samba Premier(playing only in an 03 league)
17. DT Manchester - another bad loss, lost 7 to 0 to DT Pomykal

20. Texans South - losing 10 to 0 to solar red tarrant pushes them down

Full schedule this weekend, after having half the teams off the past two weekends its good to see a full schedule this weekend.

Game of the Week
#4 Liverpool Reina vs #6 Andromeda Hiller
- This game will be these two teams first matchup this season. The two teams have played once before in the Xara tournament in Novemeber with Anromda coming out on top 1 to 0. I expect another close game, with Andromeda coming out on top once again 2 to 1. The speed of their forward will be the difference and will convert a couple breakaways.


Other top games
#1 Solar Red vs #14 Leite United
- These two teams matched up a couple weeks ago and Solar Red easily won this game. I expect more of the same in this game. Solar Red 9 to 1, especially with Leite having to play a double header

#2 Odyssey vs Mansfield Samba Gold
- These will be Odyssey's toughest game to date, but still not tough competition. Odyssey wins 6 to 2.

#3 DT Pomykal vs #14 Leite United
- These two coaches and teams have history together, unfortunatley for Leite he doesnt have the team to compete right now with DT Pomykal. Expect DT Pomykal to win easliy by 6 goals.

#5 DT Rosales vs 03 Andromeda
- Dont know anything about this Andromeda team

#7 Solar Chelsea Farley vs #8 Bandits
- These two teams have played each other a couple times in the past few months. The two always play close games. I expect this weekend's game to be close as well. Solar builds a lead and then holds on for a 3 to 2 win.

#9 Wizards vs American Eagles 03
- another solid silver 03 team for the Wizards to play against. Expect a tie on this one 2 to 2

#10 Solar Red Tarrant vs Fever
- Odyssey played Fever last week and it was a decent game. Will be a good measuring stick for Solar Red Tarrant. Expect Solar Red Tarrant to win 4 to 2

Interesting Game
Solar Red vs DT Pomykal playing eachother in the 03 league in SDL. They will be playing on bigger fields and 9v9. I know their teams they field for the 03 league are a bit different so tough to call this one.

Solar Red vs DT Pomykal in 03 league was postponed due to wet fields.

Solar Red Tarrant beat Fever (7 or so - 0)

Some changes in the middle and also dropping the lower end of the rankings (after several games it's clear the teams there arent any better than about 20 other teams in the metroplex). Latest Power Rankings - a couple things to remember, this is my opinion only, second wins and losses are only a piece of the equation. Who the wins and losses against are much more important (thank you SDXDad for that guidance). Solar Red or Solar Red Tarrant - any scores to report?

Solar Red Tarrant came a little bit unglued without their coach. Lost to OC Venom 3-2.

They snapped out of it and played like they had something to prove in game #2 - They beat FWFC 12-0 (or thereabouts)

Wow 12-0 against FWFC in Primetime that's something.

2. DT Pomykal - easily avenged their loss to Partain (8 to 1) (big rematch on the 15th against Solar Red)
3. Odyssey - not being tested in Primetime, good test against Solar Red Tarrant coming up on the 15th
4. Solar Chelsea Farley - won last 5 games in EAL by combined score of 25 to 4
5. DT Rosales (playing only in an 03 league) - continue to do well in 2nd division of u9 SDL (crushed Texas Fire 03's last weekend)

Tier II
6. Andromeda Hiller - first loss of the season (with one loss and one tie now, one more game against Liverpool Reina) team is 4 and 1 in the last 5 with a 16 to 4 goal ratio
7. Wizards - continue to do well in silver division of Primetime u9 (have two tough games coming up against 2 03 Texans teams)

9. Liverpool Reina - eeked out a last minute win against Bandits (game against Andromeda looming. Last 5 games team is 3 and 2 with a 13 to 8 goal for/against ratio.
