QT schedules released?

Ummm. Wow. Are these really the brackets? Not very balanced.

Some brackets seem stack 
10 brackets of 4 
3 brackets of 3. 
Any idea from those with experience how it will play out?

 Winners of the 10 brackets qualify for first 10 in D1!?
What happens to the rest??

Um...those aren't the actual brackets. There are nine likely D1 teams in Brackets H, I, and M.

Bracket I looks pretty weird. Sort of jumps out at you that's it's off!

Bracket F as in WT?

Yes, definitely not the actuals. Bracket K has Schell in the same bracket as.... well, Schell. He could knock himself (1 team) out of the QT if these were accurate.

Seems like an easy way to settle who should have been the 2nd overall seed.   

In regards to the format:

Safe to assume that the 13 group winners from weekend 1 go into D1
Should take 28 teams into weekend 2 in 7 groups of 4. Group winners going D1, seven 2nd place going into D3, and then next 3 highest points also going into D3.

Something like that.  I'm not sure how they determine the 28, would think its the 2nd-3rd places from weekend 1 plus two 4th places but not sure they would set it up so that all of the teams in the groups of 3 are guaranteed at least 2nd weekend.   TM meeting Saturday I think, would imagine will have some clarity by then.

What do you all think of Bracket B?

No way they stay like this, seen it before. But if it does, our team is sitting pretty. One of 3 teams in Trevinos's groups would get screwed for sure.

There is no way these brackets stay like this. They have FCD 03 and Ody 03, two of the top three teams in the age group, in the same bracket. They will reshuffle before they put out a schedule.

what we do know is that they will be doing 13 brackets so I imagine 13 go thru and as #13 said they reshuffle for weekend 2 with 28 teams in 7 brackets.

Just got off the phone with CCSAI and the seedings are not decided yet, end of story. There is no schedule that has the top teams seeded against each other and the Official list won't be posted until two days after the Managers Meeting.

In a nutshell, The List Posted in this Forum is Not Official per CCSAI. CCSAI made a point of letting me know that they have an extensive process that includes input from coaches and they are aware of player movement and team improvements in the 03 teams. I would say that they take this process very seriously and won't seed the tournament incorrectly.

Although my son already went thru the QT process a year ago, I still look forward to the new teams coming into CL  

I'll be tuned in on Monday for the schedule

Well they could have done all of this without the brackets being visible publicly. Pretty funny prank they played on everyone whether intentional or not. Actually wished you would have delayed reporting this a day or so. Would love to see how much life this would have taken on.

*Would have no objections if they left bracket A alone.... If we won that, we may not be a force in Div 1 but would at least get that next weekend off.....

Is being in a bracket with only 3 teams a bad thing?

I've directed tournaments in the past using both SportsPilot and GotSoccer and I have added all teams to the mix and let the system populate them into brackets, then I would manually make the changes by dragging and dropping from there. I only saw 1 or 2 changes and I'm sure there's more to come. Interesting that they would continue to keep it public. Figured they'd have taken it down by now...

16 brackets for 30 spots in Classic? Wow! Looks like there will be a lot of disappointed teams at the end of the tournament. Since half our team is new and need to be in more sync, we elected to skip this years classic and go to PPL to see if we can get the team to gel. Most of these teams will end up there anyway and the competition should be pretty good. Amazing to see so many 03 teams out there. I wonder if that year was a baby boom spike.

only 13 brackets FF and I actually thought it would be closer to 60 teams playing in the qualifiers. I was a little surprised that they only have 50 teams sign up.

M is the 13th letter. Last year they had 58.

My son plays on a D1 02 team, so i remember this QT thing like it was yesterday. I looked at the preliminary "brackets" and am interested in who the top 10 teams in 03 are. We have played some solid 03 teams in tournaments and Futsal so I know there are some great players.

I will throw it out to the forum... who are the top 10 seeds for 03?

we all keep rankings secret here in the 03 group.

we do not like the outside influences trying to change that.  

If the brackets were to stay the same (which they wont), it would make for one heck of a second weekend of games.

Last year at this time, the 02 posters had a blast predicting the top 10-20 seeds.

I don't want to start any any trouble so i will wander back to the 02 threads, where i belong
